Ted Nolan

Chief Executive Officer

Ted directs the strategic development and implementation of Entertainment Risk’s growth initiatives, professional services and client relationships. He has spent his career focused on underwriting, consulting and managing within the structure of Managing General Agents, Managing General Underwriters and Program Administrators.

Ted previously served as President of OnPoint Underwriting, a Managing General Agent, and Beecher Carlson Company. OnPoint Underwriting is a Program-Focused insurance Provider specializing in the industry verticals of Healthcare, Energy, Hospitality, Gaming, and Real Estate.

Prior to joining OnPoint Underwriting, he served as Vice-President of Operations for Medical Group Insurance Services (MGIS), Inc., which provides specialized insurance products and services to physicians and their advisors.

Additionally, Ted worked as an Underwriter for Sherwood Insurance Services, now Swett & Crawford, and Aon Risk Services both based in San Francisco, CA.

Ted holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of California, San Diego. He is a member of the Bar in the State of Utah.

Scott Wessing

EVP Of Operations & Risk Services For Entertainment Risk

Scott is responsible for all Operations and the Risk Services Division of Entertainment Risk, as well as developing vendor relationships and working in conjunction with the Underwriting Divisions.

Being an advocate for education of his clients and the nightlife industry as a whole, Scott has presented on numerous topics affecting the nightlife industry and has provided testimony to a state legislative body regarding the negative impact changes to the state’s dram statute would have on the hospitality industry.

Throughout his career, Scott has held numerous technical and managerial positions and has earned his AINS, AIC and SCLA designations.

Scott has a Master’s of Science in Management with a concentration in Risk Management and Insurance from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY.

Frank Nerney

EVP of Underwriting for Entertainment Risk

Frank directs the implementation of all production and underwriting goals for Entertainment Risk. His responsibilities include managing the Underwriting Department as well as oversight of the Risk Assessment & Management Department.

Frank has worked in the bar, restaurant, and nightlife hospitality insurance sector for the majority of his career, developing relationships with producers and brokers familiar with this segment throughout the country. Frank has worked as an underwriter, an underwriting manager and a Vice President of Underwriting. He was instrumental in creating a 600% growth of written premium in his prior position. His years of experience reviewing accounts within the same sector has provided him with a unique understanding of the exposures in a constantly changing class of business. Frank has also been involved in presenting insurance industry topics at both industry gatherings as well as for large brokers and agents.

Additional, Frank previously worked as an Underwriter for internal programs as well as a Production Underwriter for Burns & Wilcox, Ltd. based out of Farmington Hills, MI.

Frank has a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in History and Political Science from Cabrini College in Wayne, PA.
